"Lucas-sama, please stop right there."

Hearing Hannah's cold voice, I felt so embarrassed and guilty that I grabbed Lucas's sleeve, shrinking back my body.

"Um… I apologi-"

"'It's not your fault, Cecil. Rather, you are too innocent to be good in bed last night…"

"Eeh? Wa- wait, Luke-sama!"

After shifting the blame to someone and saying something inappropriate, Lucas grabbed my chin again and tried to turn my face upwards. I wasn’t that vulgar! Definitely not! And I wished he would stop putting his face so close to mine. When I looked to Hannah for help, I saw her smiling, although her veins were popping out her forehead.

"Lucas-sama, please stop it. The moment Lucas-sama tries to do anything inappropriate to the ill Cecilia-sama, I will do my best to deal with you."

"I know…"

At Hannah's words, Lucas pulled back with a sigh of extreme regret.

Did I see it wrong?! He was the son of a duke, and although Hannah was the head maid, she was still a servant. Just who Hannah was?

As she was assigned to me now, I wouldn’t dare to go against her. I had to last longer in order to survive. I also noticed that the maids waiting by the corner were nodding their heads.

Feeling confused, I stared at Lucas. But then, Hannah and the three maids changed their smile to a gentler one and explained.

"I apologize for puzzling you. I was Lucas-sama’s nanny, and as such, I have permission from the Duke to behave in this manner. As for Cecilia-sama, please do not hesitate to tell me if you feel that Lucas-sama is going to force you like he did last night. I will take full responsibility for the situation."

She smiled.

In spite of her gentle demeanor, the way she stared at Lucas was filled with a deterrent look. She looked very reliable.

Even her smile was so similar to Lucas’. They both were alike in the way of inciting fear. Like parents, like child. But it was quite rude to think about Hannah that way. Hannah surely wasn’t a demon.

Huh… wait…?

"Like last night…?"

"..."

Muttering to myself, Hannah and the three maids all slowly looked away. Also, the three maids were blushing.

I… had a very bad feeling about this.

I looked at Lucas timidly as all the women in this room turned their gaze away from me. This beautiful man only gave me a wry smile while pointing to his chest. I naturally shifted my attention to my own chest.

Yeah, I was still as plump as ever.

But it wasn’t that…! I was currently wearing a nightwear I had never seen before!

There were so many details on the night gown. It looked expensive. 

The fabric was very comfortable, and it didn't look like the clothes that the bastard Thomas Muller gave me. It couldn't be from the brothel too, because I passed out naked, and it was obvious that I was made to wear it after I was brought here.

My face turned red at the thought of that.

"No….!!"

They saw me.

The marks on my breasts. And not just any marks, they clearly indicate a bite.

The three maids were completely downcast, hiding their red faces.

Normally, that would be unacceptable. But right now, I was just so grateful. I'd die of embarrassment if they showed their professionalism and made eye contact with me. But by doing that, they made me realize that biting during making love wasn’t that normal. I felt like running away right now.

I was so embarrassed that I wanted to die. Why couldn't I faint at times like this? Perhaps it was because I was the princess consort candidate and was taught to be thick-skinned. It would be nice if I was taught to faint at will instead.

“I'm sorry, I went too far."

My escape from reality was in vain as Lucas apologized to me while stroking my cheek. I snapped at his words.

It was too late. I felt more upset that he only apologized now. He didn’t feel bad at all since he was smiling while apologizing to me. Could I punch him in his beautiful face? He should be embarrassed too, even if it was only a little.

If I had to make an excuse, I would say that my reasoning was loosened by my fever.

The fact that he was the son of a duke, that I was a prostitute, and that I had been bought for him to do such acts slipped my mind. The shame and anger of letting the others know about my inappropriate act made me lose it.

"Unghhh…. Lucas-sama you're so stupid!! No more of it! Don't touch me!"

I shouted louder than I thought, as I brushed Lucas' hand away from my cheek. Tears started to flow without stopping.

Wondering why I was crying, I heard murmurs coming from the corner.

"Wow..."

“Lucas-sama..."

"My condolences for Lucas-sama..."

"Look at that. It's what you deserve," said Hannah. Her voice was filled with astonishment and mockery.

"Ce- Cecil ......?"

He replied hesitantly, sounding as if his resolve had drifted away. I was still breathless and half belligerent as I replied to his questioning tone.

"Uhhh, hic, I-If you really- feel bad… then do-don't do it- in the first place. S-so heartless...cough"

"Cecilia-sama, it's okay, Hannah here will have a long talk with Lucas-sama. So for now, please rest your mind and body."

She consoled me, saying it was okay. She looked like a goddess as she gently stroked my back and applied healing magic to me. The three maids, who had been frozen in place, instantly began to move quietly.

My face was wiped with a warm cloth, I was made to drink honey water, and a warm hot water bottle was placed at my feet. 

"Please sleep for now," The moment Hannah said so, my eyes were closed, unable to resist her sleep magic.

The last thing I saw was a very upset Lucas and a man I didn't know.

"Lucas-sama, your escort is here. What's the matter? Did you do something wrong again? You're such an idiot. Now, let's go. Cecilia-sama is asleep now, so you can reconcile with her after subjugating some demonic wolves. Just hope she won’t turn to hate you by the time we get home." The man said in amusement.

While I did feel a bit sorry looking at Lucas being demeaned by people closest to him, I couldn’t help but think that I wasn’t so bad after all.
